Jenny's Jungle Library Installation
We renovated a space in a domestic violence shelter community room to empower women and children through literacy. Children’s, young adult, and Spanish books tucked nicely into their new homes. We have received large donations of children’s books from elementary schools from around the county. We want to inspire our recipients to model our libraries and reading spaces in their own homes.
A Canvas to Create a One-of-a-Kind Reading Area
An open space renovated into a beautiful library and reading room for mother/child activities to assist low level literacy, music and movement, and life enrichment. Space matters.

Children's Reading Spaces
We love creating spaces for children to explore, dream, find comfort, and become inspired and empowered in their lives. Finding a book they love is key to keeping them engaged and motivated to read.
Working Board Members
Our Board Members take pride in volunteering and participating in our library installations. Having their boots on the ground so to speak, offers a unique perspective and insight into the challenges and rewards of a working non-profit organization.
Perspective
We provide literature on the function of a reading space, how to use it and why resources like books are invaluable to life enrichment. Taking time to explain to staff on how we organize the books and ideas on how to use the space with their clients is important to our mission. We are always excited to hear about new and creative ways organizations use their libraries.
Our hope is recipients model the reading spaces in their own homes.
Be the heroine of your life
Empowering women with positive inspirations to motivate and inspire them to keep moving in their lives.
Leading by example
Opening up a book and reading out loud together, looking at the images or discussing the content motivates the children to keep coming back. Board member, Cami Eiskamp models reading and discussion with a recipient of our library installation.
Empower and Inspire!
We hope the women find hope, refuge, comfort, and empowerment in our libraries.
Positive Vision
Dual language is a reality in many of our reading spaces. With a lot of community assistance, we provided books in Spanish for recipients to read out loud with their children and on their own.
Details matter
We create comforting and beautiful environments for recipients to experience and transition with when they leave shelter life.
